About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to join our team at AbbVie. As a key member of our medical department, you will be responsible for providing medical and scientific expertise to support the development and commercialization of our aesthetic medicine products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medical Expertise
    • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of aesthetic medicine and related therapeutic areas through attendance at key internal meetings, training sessions, and scientific congresses.
    • Provide expert medical and scientific advice on aesthetic medicine products and related therapeutic areas, including responding to requests for scientific and technical information.
  • Professional Relationships
    • Establish and maintain professional and credible relationships with key thought leaders, external experts, and academic centers in the field of aesthetic medicine.
    • Participate in scientific congresses, coordinate advisory boards, round-table meetings, and discussion forums to advance the field of aesthetic medicine.
  • Scientific Presentations and Education
    • Deliver scientific presentations and medical education programs to healthcare professionals individually or in groups, as needed.
  • Clinical Research Activities
    • Support clinical research projects within defined standards and budgets, including Phase IV, post-marketing clinical activities such as registry/database projects, epidemiological surveys, and PMOS studies.
    • Provide oversight to manage review, approval, and conduct of IIS studies.
  • Compliance and Quality
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable national laws and regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, and AbbVie's policies and procedures.
    • Maintain high standards of scientific quality and integrity in all aspects of the role.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Medical degree or bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or higher.
  • Experience
    • Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry and general knowledge of drug development and clinical research.
    • Previous experience in dermatology and/or aesthetic-related pharmaceutical markets is preferred but not required.
  • Skills
    • Strong commitment to compliance with relevant rules and procedures, and to scientific quality and integrity.
    • Sound judgment, strong planning and organizational skills, and the ability to get things done.
    • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other software skills.
