Data Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing and developing our data platform, ensuring it meets the business needs.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to design new data pipelines, maintain existing platforms, and build processes to ingest data from various sources using Nifi.

A key aspect of this role is ensuring data quality by verifying data consistency and accuracy. Additionally, the candidate will be required to stay up-to-date with research and development of new technologies and techniques to enhance our data platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and evolve our existing data platform;
  • Build processes to ingest data from Kafka, APIs, and Databases using Nifi;
  • Apply transformations to data streams;
  • Be involved in data modelling following standards e.g. Inmon, Kimball, Data Vault;
  • Evaluate and improve data pipeline performance;
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring mechanisms;
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience with modern cloud database technologies such as Snowflake;
  • Experience with orchestrating data pipelines using Airflow;
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data integration tools;
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python or Java;
  • Knowledge on AWS Services like S3/Lambda/API Gateways/DMS/RDS;
  • Development experience in Microsoft, Linux, and Cloud environments;
