Warehouse Operations Supervisor

We're seeking a warehouse operations supervisor to join our team. You'll operate out of one of our dynamic delivery stations where we sort and process parcels.

As a warehouse operations supervisor, you'll deliver inspiring leadership for the teams you lead. However, don't shy away from rolling up your sleeves and getting involved whenever necessary.

You'll be directly responsible for developing a team of shift managers and their direct reports. Meanwhile, you'll report to the senior operations manager.

The quality of your leadership is key to success in this role. You'll motivate and inspire your teams to do their best work while planning schedules and activities that balance their needs with those of the business.

Another key aspect of the role is leading on numerous process improvement projects. The goal is to streamline all activities, both for yourself and the team members you lead.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain Health and Safety standards within your remit area while promoting a culture of safety on-site.
  2. Become proficient in specific, larger-scale processes and activities within delivery stations, such as 5S audits.
  3. In your inventory control and systems environment, handle meaningful data collection and update operations metrics hourly.
  4. Aim to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and ensure an excellent customer experience.
  5. Partner closely with other support teams (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety and Security, IT) on staffing plans, schedules, and performance levels.
  6. Implement progressive process change and contribute to cross-functional Six Sigma initiatives within your site and the broader Brazil Amazon Logistics network.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Employee and performance management experience.
  • Previous experience in leading large, diverse teams.
  • Expertise in two or more production or supply chain areas with an impressive track record in similar environments.
  • Ability to organize details, establish root cause analysis, extract and analyze data generated.
  • Advanced level in Excel (vlookup, advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros).
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Fluent Portuguese and advanced English.
