Our organization is looking for a skilled Software Development Expert to play a key role in designing and delivering high-quality software operations code using Python.
This position requires someone with expertise in Linux systems administration, package management, and operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with at least one public cloud and familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Design and develop high-quality open source software operations code in Python
- Work across the entire Linux stack, from kernel to applications
- Leverage knowledge of Linux systems administration, package management, and operations to simplify open source operations for customers and the open source community
- Demonstrate sound engineering design and testing principles in your code
- Follow agile software development practices and coach and develop colleagues where necessary
- Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Computer Science, STEM, or similar field
- Experience with Linux systems administration, package management, and operations
- Hands-on experience with at least one public cloud
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Understanding of the importance of reliable software and commitment to designing and coding to that expectation
