We are seeking an experienced Operations Specialist to handle various tasks related to vessel operations.
Main Responsibilities:- Coordinate port calls for ZIM vessels, ensuring efficient and timely operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between terminals, pilots, tugs, and service providers.
- Manage and update vessel schedules in company systems, guaranteeing seamless communication with local authorities.
- Coordinate all necessary documentation with local authorities, including special cargo manifests and required certificates.
- Execute and monitor operational processes within the SAP system, maintaining accurate records and controlling port fee payments.
- Authorize access for third-party service providers to vessels during port stay, while adhering to security protocols.
- Operate the ZIM MONITOR system, analyzing alerts and directing corrective actions to ensure optimal performance.
- Advanced English language proficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Foreign Trade, International Relations, or a related field.
- Proficiency in the Office 365 Suite, with a focus on Excel.
- Experience in an Operations department at a Shipping Line or as a Boarding Agent is highly desirable.
- Experience with the SAP system is also advantageous.
