About the Project:

We're developing evaluation and training datasets for large language models to work on realistic software engineering problems. Our approach involves building verifiable tasks based on public repository histories in a synthetic manner with human involvement, expanding dataset coverage across programming languages, difficulty levels, and more.

About the Role:

Experienced tech leads familiar with high-quality GitHub repositories are sought to contribute to this project. Ideal candidates have experience working with well-maintained repositories with 500+ stars, hands-on software engineering skills, and proficiency in automation tools.

Day-to-Day Tasks:

  • Analyze and triage GitHub issues across trending open-source libraries.
  • Set up and configure code repositories, including Dockerization and environment setup.
  • Evaluate unit test coverage and quality.
  • Run codebases locally to assess LLM performance in bug-fixing scenarios.
  • Collaborate with researchers to design and identify challenging repositories and issues for LLMs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in Python, JavaScript, Java, Go, Rust, C/C++, C#, or Ruby.
  • Experience working with well-maintained repositories (500+ stars).
  • Proficiency in Git, Docker, and basic software pipeline setup.
  • Ability to navigate complex codebases and understand their inner workings.
