Job Title:

Strategic Sales Partner

As a Strategic Sales Partner, you will play a pivotal role in forging strong relationships with leading OEM and Independent Hardware Vendor brands to drive open-source innovation and growth.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with IHV teams to enable partner success, generate and transact opportunities, drive a Canonical agenda within an IHV, and achieve targeted results. They will establish trusted partnerships with our partners, increase market share, evangelize the partnership, and drive business interactions across personas - from engineers to CxOs.

The role entails:

  • Establishing strategic partnerships and enabling partner teams on the partnership
  • Building pipeline and transacting opportunities through IHVs
  • Enhancing partner awareness of open-source capabilities on Ubuntu
  • Demonstrating a deep understanding of the Linux and cloud software ecosystem
  • Delivering on targets, objectives, and providing a voice for partners
  • Traveling regularly - sometimes internationally - to drive partnerships in person
  • Aligning and supporting internal field teams - identifying, supporting, growing, and transacting
  • Expanding existing footprints with IHV customers with an aim to upsell to broader portfolios
  • Supporting and contributing to broader strategies, initiatives, and key campaigns

We are looking for an experienced sales professional who can capture customer requirements, evaluate gaps, identify, and create opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Ubuntu products and mission, be comfortable in fast-paced and high-pressure environments, and possess excellent communication and presentation skills.

This role will report to the Head of IHV Alliances and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business results.
