We're seeking a skilled database administrator to join our team.

Job Description:

In this role, you'll be responsible for managing and administering the backbone of our technological infrastructure. You'll be the architect of the system, shaping the base definition, structure, and documentation to ensure the long-term success of our business operations.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate systematic database project plans that align with our organizational goals. Your contributions will not go unnoticed - you'll have the opportunity to propose and implement enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, install, and maintain database management systems
  • Manage user access and implement the highest standards of security to protect valuable data from unauthorized access
  • Implement policies and procedures to safeguard data from external threats
  • Conduct capacity planning and growth projections based on usage
  • Work with various teams to coordinate database project plans
  • Propose and implement enhancements to improve system performance and reliability

Requirements:

  • Provide support for Db2 on z/OS environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability
  • Lead and execute Db2 version upgrades (V12 to V13), ensuring minimal disruption and full compliance with enterprise standards
  • Manage and optimize Db2 utilities such as REORG, COPY, RUNSTATS, LOAD, UNLOAD, RECOVER, and REBUILD
  • Monitor and tune Db2 subsystem performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks proactively
  • Support and maintain Db2 backup and recovery strategies in both single and data sharing environments
  • Utilize and administer tools such as IBM, CA, Compuware, Informatica, and other ISV tools and utilities
  • Demonstrated experience in leading technical projects and working with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Advanced level)
  • Bachelor's degree
