About the Role

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Associate to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing improvement plans for transportation procurement categories, supporting customers and customer proposal efforts, and performing analytical and administrative tasks in support of Transportation Procurement strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement improvement plans for transportation procurement categories, focusing on cost, services offering, lean targets, and quality to enable optimal and efficient operations.
  2. Support customers and customer proposal efforts with pricing information and supplier selection.
  3. Perform analytical and administrative tasks in support of Transportation Procurement strategic initiatives.
  4. Develop and strengthen supplier and customer relationships.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Engineering.
  • Pre-advanced English language proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 Sigma (Black Belt / Lean Manufacturing / Quality Tools) certification.
  • Experience working with suppliers or external customers.
  • Post-graduation or MBA degree.
  • Advanced English language proficiency.
  • MS Office 365 skills.
