Metal Building Designer

- Create accurate and detailed fabrication drawings for pre-engineered metal building systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Review project specifications, architectural designs, and structural drawings to ensure precision in detailing.
- Coordinate with other design professionals to address potential design conflicts and integrate solutions.
- Prepare material lists and project documentation for fabrication and construction.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, industry standards, and client specifications.
- Work collaboratively with the engineering team to optimize building design for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Proven experience as a detailer with a focus on pre-engineered metal buildings.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or similar.
- Solid understanding of structural design principles, building codes, and industry standards.
- Attention to detail and exceptional technical drawing skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
