About the Role
Job Summary
AIG is seeking a highly skilled Casualty Underwriter to join our team. As a Casualty Underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating and managing risk for our clients. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess risk for clients, including commercial and personal insurance policies.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize losses and maximize profits.
- Collaborate with underwriters, brokers, and clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Conduct thorough analysis of client data, including financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in risk management.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in underwriting or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge of insurance products and risk management principles.
