Job Description

As a Senior Computer Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to users at various stations. This includes maintaining and implementing computer systems, configuring and repairing hardware and software, and performing troubleshooting tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on computer systems, including updating software and hardware.
  • Provide direct user support for Tier 2 and Tier 3 work orders.
  • Install and configure computer hardware and software.
  • Guide and direct subordinate computer technicians in the accomplishment of mission and work tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of computer systems and technology. The following qualifications are required:

  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residence is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of four years experience in computer systems installation and maintenance.
  • Expert knowledge of Windows operating systems and applications.
  • A+ and/or MCDST (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) certification preferred.

This is a full-time, seasonal position located in Antarctica. The position comes with the following benefits:

  • All expenses paid while on-ice; meals, lodging, medical, gear, travel to and from Antarctica.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Performance Period: October 2025-February 2026.
