Job Title: Digital Marketing Specialist

Overview:

A digital marketing specialist is required to plan, execute, and measure campaigns across various social media platforms and email channels. The role combines content strategy, project management, copywriting, and digital performance analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a content calendar using Notion.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including designers and video editors, to align on timelines, asset creation, and creative strategy.
  • Schedule and publish all organic social posts and newsletters, ensuring content is on-message and on-time.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and post needs without compromising quality or speed.
  • Support strategic initiatives for email marketing campaigns in partnership with the Design Lead and Video Lead.

Social Media Management:

  • Manage Darkroom's organic presence on Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube.
  • Write compelling copy, including captions, headlines, and descriptions that match platform-specific tone and brand voice.
  • Monitor and respond to comments and DMs, actively engaging with customers, creators, and collaborators.

Paid Media:

  • Have an understanding of paid social and ad copywriting.
  • Work with our paid media specialist to optimize Darkroom's paid ads.

SEO, Reporting, Analytics & Performance:

  • Monitor performance across all owned platforms and campaigns (social, email, website).
  • Use Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics to identify friction points and opportunities for optimization.
  • Provide actionable insights, trends, and growth metrics that influence creative direction.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on content, email, and social.
  • Highly organized, autonomous, and thrive in fast-paced, iterative environments.
  • Strong writing skills, with precision and tone, and ability to adapt voice across channels.
  • Knowledge of what content performs, and why.
  • Strong project management instincts, with ability to juggle timelines, tasks, and tools.
  • Understanding of digital performance, with experience working with analytics tools, email metrics, and SEO.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working inside an agency.
  • Managed newsletter content and owned media channels.
  • Fluency in Notion, Figma, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, GT Metrix.
