Directional Drilling Specialist

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the directional drilling process from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and execute directional drilling operations ensuring optimal well path and target coordinates.
  2. Collaborate with engineering teams to select and assemble Bottom Hole Assemblies (BHAs) that meet project requirements.
  3. Utilize DD computer software to provide expert analysis and advice to clients at the well site.
  4. Develop and maintain accurate directional survey data and well profile plots.
  5. Prepare and submit daily reports, service tickets, and relevant documentation.
  6. Conduct regular equipment inspections and ensure compatibility with MWD engineer specifications.
  7. Maintain detailed records of DD equipment and facilitate proper layout and backload after job completion.
  8. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

  • Minimum three years of field experience in directional drilling with a proven track record of success.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field or related discipline.
