As a highly skilled automation specialist at a forward-thinking organization, you will play a key role in integrating directly into our client's team. You will work alongside existing designers and engineers on a daily basis, contributing to the development of scalable automated systems for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of applications.
Key responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable automated systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical initiatives, developing and maintaining continuous integration and delivery pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
- Design and implement automated systems for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical initiatives that align with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
- Improve infrastructure reliability and performance by implementing best practices in server management, load balancing, and caching.
- Implement security measures to protect data and prevent vulnerabilities.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying new skills and knowledge to improve the overall quality of software development.
- 2+ years of professional experience as an automation engineer.
- Successful completion of a four-year college degree is required.
- Advanced English is required.
- Experience with Ruby or Ruby on Rails.
- Familiarity with Next.js, Node.js, or JavaScript frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for automation.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Practical experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and concepts, preferably GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Docker and containerization principles.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code in an object-oriented programming language, such as Python, Ruby, Java, Go, C#.
- Solid understanding of Git and version control workflows.
- Interest in using AI to enhance developer tooling and automation.
- Knowledge of SQL for data manipulation or database operations.
- Ability to work through new and difficult issues and contribute to libraries as needed.
- Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of applications.
