Project Coordinator for Sustainable Tourism in Brazil

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Coordinator to support the development of sustainable tourism projects in Brazil. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with local communities to enhance the positive impact of tourism on their well-being.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Mentoring community-based tourism organizations to improve quality and impact
  • Enhancing technical skills through training and guidance
  • Advising on governance to ensure long-term local participation
  • Refining commercialization strategies to attract clients and stabilize income
  • Building trusting partnerships with community-based tourism organizations
  • Conducting follow-up monitoring to maximize support effectiveness
  • Providing consistent reporting to ensure transparency and accountability

Requirements

  • Clear communication skills
  • Passion for making a positive impact
  • Pro-active and independent
  • Experience mentoring community-based tourism organizations
  • Great monitoring and reporting skills
  • Ability to focus on priorities and say no to non-essential tasks
  • Positive, empathetic attitude
  • Native level of Portuguese or C1 level
  • Fluent verbal and written English or Spanish skills
