Job Description

The Support Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing professional support teams, including skills development and performance management.

Key responsibilities include operational control, shift scheduling, accountability for key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring customer cases are responded to within SLA and in a professional manner, acting as customer escalation contact, and addressing escalations appropriately.

The ideal candidate will have extensive CLI experience with Linux at a technical level, leadership experience, and preferably team management experience. Confidence under pressure, with a proven track record of high customer focus, is essential.

The role requires fluency in two languages, with English being the primary language, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and experience or knowledge of Linux Desktop, OpenStack, Public Cloud, or Virtualization technologies.

A proven track record of contributing to Open Source projects, software development experience, and experience in working in support organizations are also desirable.

Requirements
  • Extensive CLI experience with Linux at a technical level
