ATC System Architect

As a skilled professional, you will take on the challenging role of designing and optimizing Automatic Train Control (ATC) systems. This involves collaborating closely with various teams across the organization to ensure the safe and efficient operation of train movements. You will lead design reviews, investigate system performance issues, and implement corrective actions. Additionally, you will be responsible for designing system architecture, specifications, and interfaces, as well as ensuring the ATC configuration meets customer requirements.
Your day-to-day tasks will include leading ATC design activities, producing related documentation, and performing hardware and/or software configurations. You will also investigate Verification and Validation (V&V) test failures, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and define system requirements and interfaces in alignment with the system roadmap.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Degree in engineering (electrical/electronics, embedded systems, or equivalent)
- Technical courses in electrical/electronics or related areas (advantageous)
- Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) at an intermediate level
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar tools at an intermediate level
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical diagrams
- Skills in system specification and requirements development
- Basic software development skills
- 5+ years of experience in complex real-time systems (e.g., signaling, avionics, defense, or safety-related systems)
- Experience with signaling systems, Automatic Train Operation (ATO), or rolling stock systems (especially those interfacing with trainborne Automatic Train Protection (ATP), such as brakes, traction, and doors)
- Advanced proficiency in English and intermediate proficiency in Spanish
- Willingness to travel for business purposes
