Risk Consultant

About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing risk consulting services for large property loss control and natural hazards evaluation in the Southeast region.

This position requires application of robust engineering background and practical experience to identify and mitigate property fire and Nat Cat risk exposures for a broad range of project types and customers.

• Review Commercial Property Protection: You will review commercial property protection, including fire protection and water supply analysis, to identify potential risks and develop recommendations for improvement.
• Conduct Onsite Visits: Conduct onsite visits to assess property and Nat Cat exposures and develop detailed reports to relay conditions and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Analyze Building Construction: Analyze building construction, fire protection features, process operations and special hazards to identify potential risks and develop recommendations for mitigation.
• Collaborate with Engineers: Work hand in hand with the network of specialized engineers to serve clients and provide comprehensive risk consulting services.
• Build Customer Satisfaction: Build credibility with and create customer satisfaction by demonstrating the value of risk engineering services.

You will report to the Regional Engineering Leader and work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve business objectives.

• Experience with Large Property Sites: You must have experience with large property sites and a strong understanding of NFPA Codes, FM Data Sheets, and local requirements.
• Robust Working Knowledge of Fire Protection: A robust working knowledge of fire protection or willingness to learn is required.
• Engineering or Science Degree: An engineering or science based undergraduate degree; Chemical Engineering preferred.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are essential. Communicates effectively with broad range of underwriting and customer partners.
• Valid Driver's License Required: A valid driver's license is required for travel to client sites.

The base salary range for this position is $83,500 – 145,500 per year, however, actual pay will be determined based upon the individual's skills, experience, and location.
