Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of Automatic Train Control (ATC) systems. As an ATC System Designer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of train movements by designing and optimizing our ATC systems.

  • Design and develop ATC systems, including specifications, architecture, interfaces, and electrical diagrams.
  • Lead design activities, including design reviews and ensuring alignment with established processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance technical risks and evaluate design trade-offs.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop system specifications and requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
  2. Design and optimize ATC system architectures to meet customer needs.
  3. Work closely with verification and validation teams to ensure system performance meets requirements.
  4. Investigate system performance issues and implement corrective actions.
  5. Collaborate with software development teams to integrate ATC systems with other rail infrastructure.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree in engineering (electrical/electronics, embedded systems, or equivalent).
  • Technical courses in electrical/electronics or related areas (advantageous).
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) at an intermediate level.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar tools at an intermediate level.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical diagrams.
  • Skills in system specification and requirements development.
  • Basic software development skills.
  • 5+ years of experience in complex real-time systems (e.g., signaling, avionics, defense, or safety-related systems).
  • Advanced proficiency in English and intermediate proficiency in Spanish.
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes.
