Windfarm Controller Commissioner

The role involves overseeing the commissioning of Nordex group wind farm controllers, primarily remotely. Key responsibilities include:

  • Commissioning of wind farm controller and its interfaces
  • Preparation of grid code testing

Regular communication with clients' experts to discuss project-specific requirements, testing, and solutions is essential.

Experience in running and closing windfarm controller projects is also necessary.

Support for negotiations with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers is required.

Testing and improving processes within the Windfarm Control Operations department, together with department leads, is an additional responsibility.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Technology, Electronics, IT, telecommunications, or other equivalent technical education
  • Broad knowledge of wind farm controller tools and processes
  • Proficiency in Modbus TCP
  • Knowledge of IEC 60870-5-101
  • Knowledge of IEC 60870-5-104
  • Knowledge of OPC UA
  • Knowledge of DNP3
  • Understanding of grid operator interfaces and customer interfaces, including Root cause analyses tools like wire shark and Grid Code Testing
  • Desirable: Certificate to act as electrically skilled person; Knowledge about wind turbine technologies
  • Essential skills include self-responsibility, structured approach, solution-oriented working, strong planning and organizational skills, and fluency in English
  • Fluency in Spanish and other languages is an added value
  • Intercultural understanding, ability to work productively in multitask teams, and team player attitude are also required
  • Willingness to go on business trips is necessary
