We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Integrity Specialist to join our team at Siemens Energy Brasil Ltda. in Brazil, São Paulo, Jundiai-SP. As a key member of our Transformation of Industry organization, you will play a critical role in supporting the mechanical integrity analyses of our TurboCracker product.
Key Responsibilities- Structural Analysis
Perform structural analysis of turbomachinery components and systems from concept definition through detailed design, focusing on prototype development and future product definition.
Mechanical Integrity AnalysisConduct mechanical integrity analyses (Stress, LCF, HCF, modal, creep) of turbomachinery components, including casings, nozzle vanes, blades and disks, combustor transition ducts, and combustor liners.
Design ReviewsLead and support design reviews as required, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of mechanical integrity.
Process DevelopmentContribute to the development of mechanical integrity-related practices, processes, and tools required to support the TurboCracker product line.
Turbomachinery TestingSupport turbomachinery testing and data analysis, ensuring that our products perform optimally in various operating conditions.
Design Team CollaborationActively contribute to small, focused design teams to support technology and product development project objectives.
Thermal AnalysisKnowledge and/or experience with thermal analyses of hot gas path turbomachinery components is a plus.
Requirements- Education
Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
Experience5+ years' experience in turbomachinery mechanical integrity analysis (gas turbines and/or compressors).
SkillsExpert knowledge of commercial analytical software packages ANSYS or ABAQUS; experience with Siemens NX/Simcenter 3D is an advantage.
Product DesignExperience in product design, with a focus on turbomachinery components.
API Design StandardsKnowledge of API design standards for compressors, gas turbines, and expanders.
Turbomachinery DisciplinesTechnical aptitude in turbomachinery disciplines (aerodynamic, thermodynamics, dynamics, machine design).
Thermal and Structural AnalysisExperience and familiarity in performing both thermal and structural analyses preferred.
Turbomachinery TestingExperience with turbomachinery testing, instrumentation, and test data analysis is a plus.
TravelAvailability to travel domestically or internationally as required up to 15%.
