Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our Supplier Quality & Development Organization, you will play a critical role in securing the best performing supply base in quality, reliability, and safety.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in quality management, supplier qualification, and product/process qualification. You will be responsible for assessing supplier capabilities, auditing supplier quality management systems and processes, and leading multi-functional teams to perform product and process qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support a multi-functional team by assessing supplier capabilities and auditing supplier quality management systems and processes.
  • Lead multi-functional teams to perform product and process qualification on commodity parts according to applicable process descriptions and standards.
  • Perform source inspection of suppliers for commodity products in the Latin America region, mainly in Brazil.
  • Identify and initiate containment on any identified non-conformances and follow-up with corrective action.
  • Support supplier evaluation based on regular analysis of supplier quality and initiate and implement supplier quality improvement programs.
  • Lead various Supplier Quality & Development tools and databases to ensure data quality and visibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a similar field.
  • At least 5 years of preferred professional experience in supplier quality management or quality management.
  • Proficient speaking and writing in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
  • Technical experience with manufacturing processes (machining, welding, cutting, coating, etc.).
  • Experience performing supplier qualification, product/process qualification & technical supplier development.
  • Extensive experience leading ISO 9001 audits of suppliers.
  • Extensive experience with machined parts.
  • Extensive expertise in GD&T, welding, and NDE.
  • Familiar with National and International Codes and Standards (ASME, ISO, AWS, etc.).
  • Basic electrical experience including reading schematics for motors, pumps, etc.
  • Comfortable and proficient working with a variety of databases, reporting and other digital tools.
  • Experience in working with virtual multi-functional teams in an international environment.
  • Self-starter, driven and self-reliant with strong organizational, strategic, analytical, leadership skills and intercultural expertise.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.
