Senior Logistics and Trade Specialist

The Senior Logistics and Trade Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods across borders, directly impacting operational efficiency and cost optimization. By optimizing logistics processes and maintaining compliance, this role supports strategic objectives and enhances supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate import, export, and local logistics shipments to ensure timely execution and precise shipment tracking.
  • Manage all logistics operations locally and internationally, monitoring carrier capacity across various freight categories.
  • Drive supplier relationships and lead negotiations to optimize both local and international logistics operations.
  • Leverage transportation expertise to develop strategies that enhance logistics flow.
  • Actively manage plant requirements and oversee the end-to-end transport of materials for local and international delivery.
  • Deliver operational improvements using data-driven approaches to root cause analysis and solution design.
  • Work within time constraints to meet critical business needs, measuring and identifying activities performed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of import regulations and tariffs to minimize risks and avoid delays.
  • Implement best practices for data management and analytics to enhance the accuracy and utility of logistics and supplier information.
  • Provide robust support for reporting and analytics by leveraging data to track performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable internal and external norms, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Administration, Foreign Trade, or related fields.
  • Previous experience in Transport, Logistics, and Customs Operations.
  • Knowledge of S4Hana, SAP/TM, and Microsoft Office Package.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and special regimes.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems, with strong data management and reporting capabilities.
  • Experience in an operational environment, with proven ability to understand processes, identify improvement opportunities, and drive change.
  • Foster strong relationships with external partners to enhance collaboration and service delivery.
