Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned sales professional to join our team as an Account Manager, specializing in retirement sales. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your expertise and relationships in the defined contribution market to drive growth and expansion.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the retirement industry, including capital markets and defined contribution investment solutions. They will be responsible for collaborating with key advisors and consultants to increase assets under management, providing sales support for distribution platforms and retirement specialists, and building relationships with small to mid-sized DC-focused consultants.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with our Retirement and Retail Distribution teams, directing discussions, sales, and client servicing initiatives. Your ability to analyze industry data and create effective sales tools will be crucial in supporting and growing Defined Contribution assets under management.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of experience in a client-facing sales or business development role in the retirement industry. They must also possess established industry contacts and advisor/consultant relationships in the Southeast region. Additionally, they should hold relevant licenses such as FINRA Series 7 and 63, with Series 3 to be obtained within six months.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stay informed on the latest trends in retirement markets and understand how PIMCO investment solutions meet specific needs.
  • Collaborate with key advisors to increase Defined Contribution assets under management.
  • Provide continuous sales support for distribution platforms and retirement specialists.
  • Build and maintain relationships with small to mid-sized DC-focused consultants.
  • Analyze industry and portfolio data to support competitive analyses and create sales tools.
  • Develop a pipeline of retirement opportunities within the Southeast region.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, client firm requirements, and PIMCO policies.

Supporting PIMCO Business Objectives includes providing feedback to management, contributing to the company beyond your daily role, representing PIMCO at conferences, and embracing professional development opportunities.

Position Requirements:
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a client-facing sales or business development role in the retirement industry.
  • Established industry contacts and advisor/consultant relationships in the Southeast region.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses are required, with Series 3 to be obtained within six months.
  • In-depth knowledge of the retirement market, including capital markets and defined contribution investment solutions.
