North America Tax Specialist Role
We seek a diligent and proactive Tax Professional specializing in US Indirect Taxes with a focus on Sales & Use Tax.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file accurate and timely Sales & Use Tax returns to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Conduct thorough tax data analysis and identify discrepancies in tax reporting, facilitating prompt resolution of issues.
- Handle amendment filings, support tax audits and assessment defense, and manage tax payments to maintain proper documentation.
- Communicate effectively with U.S. State agencies and their representatives, ensuring seamless interaction.
- Reconcile accounts related to tax payments and reporting, guaranteeing accuracy and reliability.
- Perform taxability reviews of items sold and purchased to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
- Prepare and deliver tax presentations to management, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
- Handle business license registrations and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
- Prepare claims and track refunds for overpayments or credits, optimizing financial outcomes.
- Analyze tax reporting data to detect issues and escalate problems as needed, promoting a culture of proactive issue resolution.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure tax compliance and resolve related matters, fostering a team-oriented approach.
- Identify and assist with the implementation of process improvement ideas in tax collection, filing, and remittance procedures, driving continuous growth and development.
