We are seeking a highly skilled Brazil Country Controller to lead our accounting operations in Brazil. This is a key role within our organization, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reports.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive process excellence in accounting operations, designing future states and implementing updated processes.
  • Manage order management, operational billing, and customer billing accuracy, collaborating with Business Development, Legal, and Tax teams.
  • Supervise tax and reporting compliance for Brazil, managing relationships with independent public accountants and third-party service providers.
  • Maintain local accounting and reporting systems, adhering to GAAP and local statutory standards.
  • Monitor the accounting function using established metrics and KPIs.
  • Oversee in-house teams and 3rd party service providers, ensuring compliance with GAAP and local reporting standards.
  • Coordinate monthly balance sheet reconciliations for revenue-related accounts and manage audits for US GAAP and statutory purposes.
  • Develop internal control and safeguards over company assets, revenue, costs, and program budgets.
  • Develop and manage direct reports, including mentoring and coaching.
  • Provide financial data and present financial reports to senior leadership, monitoring progress and changes.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional team members and oversee compliance with corporate accounting and internal control policies.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration required.
  • 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting for a major multi-national company or division of a large corporation required.
  • Local CPA or Public Accounting required, with Big 4 at a supervisory level highly preferred.
  • Fluent English speaking ability, with knowledge of Spanish preferred.
  • Prior experience working with accounting systems, financial reports, audits, and corporate tax required.
  • Experience in billing operations and revenue recognition in a leadership role.
  • International accounting and Brazilian tax experience required.
  • Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
