Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical trade. As an Electrical Trade Specialist, you will assist in performing various electrical functions, including installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for generating, distributing, or utilizing electric energy.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing or repairing electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment.
- Locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment using blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
- Performing standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
You will work closely with our team to ensure that all electrical work is completed efficiently and safely.
RequirementsTo be successful as an Electrical Trade Specialist, you must have:
- A valid driver's license with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
- General knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the electrical trade.
- The ability to read and interpret Work Orders, parts requests, drawings/schematics/blueprints, and manuals.
You should also possess a strong understanding of NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards and be trained and certified per NAVFAC MO-200.
What We OfferWe offer a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on your level of experience.
