Plant Operations Mechanic

The role of the Maintenance Technician is a vital one, ensuring the continuous operation and maintenance of equipment, systems, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Performing scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
- Inspecting machinery and mechanical equipment to identify wear and potential failure.
- Replacing parts such as belts, filters, and motors to avoid breakdowns.
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, or plumbing problems using appropriate testing devices.
- Repairing or replacing defective equipment, components, or wiring.
- Responding to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Maintaining building systems including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and elevators.
- Painting, patching, and performing minor carpentry tasks.
- FOLLOWING all safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Complying with safety regulations and conducting routine inspections.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and utilizing CMMS software.
Required Qualifications include:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- A Valid PA driver's license.
- Ownership of hand tools.
- The ability to read, write, and follow verbal directions.
- Flexibility to work multiple shifts/weekends.
- Technical certification or an associate degree.
- Experience in facility or equipment maintenance.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- The ability to read manuals and blueprints.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards.
- Good physical condition and manual dexterity.
- Problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Participation in Off Hour on-call program.
