Job Title: DBT Cloud Data Transformation Specialist

">Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our DBT environment, deployment activities along with ensuring efficient data transformation processes.

Key responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining DBT environments, developing and testing DBT models to transform raw data into actionable insights, monitoring and optimizing DBT processes to improve performance and reduce execution time, and enforcing Git best practices including branching strategies, version control, and merge request processes.

In addition, the successful candidate will manage upgrades and rollouts to the DBT platform, ensure minimal disruption and seamless integration of new features, work closely with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions, maintain comprehensive documentation of core concepts of DBT models, configurations, and processes, and identify and resolve issues related to DBT processes and data transformations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • DBT Administrator with minimum 6+ years of experience in IT and relevant experience of 4+ years in DBT.
  • Proficiency in SQL, DBT Cloud, DBT Core, JINJA Templating, CI/CD tools and Git.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing data and processes.
