Job Summary

Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is seeking a skilled Agriculture Test Engineer to lead the testing of hardware and software for our Agriculture products. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated and manual software testing suites, promoting best practices, and defining test processes and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated and manual software testing suites for Hexagon's Agriculture products
  • Promote and lead best practices across software and systems testing
  • Define, develop, and carry out test processes and tools
  • Test all software delivered as per defined test schedules and processes, including documentation
  • Participate and contribute to Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning test engineering community of practice
  • Develop, iterate, monitor, and report performance and contextual metrics
  • Create data characterization models using statistics, mathematics, and data analytics

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in software test design and execution or software development with a large proportion of testing
  • Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Proficiency in Python programming and scripting tools
  • Experience in GNSS technology and products
  • Experience working with source control repositories like GitLab or GitHub
  • Experience with test automation and/or worked within a formal software testing environment
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to produce high-quality test reports, procedures, and other similar documentation
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills (English) to communicate at all levels
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years' experience in software test design and execution or software development with a large proportion of testing
  • Bachelor's degree in Geomatics
  • Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Understanding of data storage and database technologies, such as SQL and NoSQL
  • Experience with data analytics or BI tool to process and visualize complex product performance datasets
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
  • Experience of web-based bug tracking and project software (JIRA)
  • Previous agriculture/farm experience
  • Experience with Systems Engineering, V-model, or ASPICE
