Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to play a key role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with payment processing activities. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of financial services, payment systems, and risk management frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess potential operational, financial, compliance, and reputational risks related to payment processing.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to minimize identified risks.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place to protect payment data and systems.
  • Establish and maintain fraud prevention and detection measures.

Policy and Procedure Development:

  • Develop, review, and update risk management policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and support to staff on risk/compliance-related topics.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Continuously monitor risk exposure and the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures.
  • Prepare regular risk reports for senior management.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A strong ability to communicate, collaborate, and influence in a multi-functional team environment.
  • A deep knowledge of the payments industry and major trends affecting stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of responsibility for large, complex programs and guiding cross-functional teams.
