Job Summary:

Cadence Design Systems Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Digital Design Engineer to join our Silicon Engineering team in Brazil. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with experienced engineers and leading-edge customers to implement SoC designs in advanced process nodes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop digital IPs from high-level architecture to synthesis, ensuring customer technical needs are met.
  • Create micro-architecture specifications and develop RTL and SystemC code.
  • Define functional constraints and synthesize RTL to guarantee power, performance, and area requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with verification and validation teams to participate in test plan definition, coverage analysis, and feature debugging.
  • Support physical design teams to ensure constraints are correct and designs are feasible for physical implementation.
  • Provide mentorship to less experienced team members.

Requirements:

  • Complete Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or related areas.
  • Strong knowledge of digital design and semiconductor fundamentals.
  • Ability to design digital IPs autonomously, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Solid knowledge in designing IPs and/or integrating SoCs.
  • Strong knowledge in SystemVerilog and/or SystemC.
  • Solid knowledge in simulation and debug tools.
  • Solid knowledge in functional constraints definition.
  • Solid knowledge in logical and physical synthesis.
  • Solid verbal and written skills and collaboration capabilities.
  • Experience in scripting languages (Python, TCL).

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge in low power design and techniques.
  • Knowledge in logical equivalence checking.
  • Knowledge in clock and reset domain crossing.
  • Strong knowledge in Cadence's front-end tools (Xcelium, VerisiumDebug/Simvision, Genus, Joules).
  • Experience with Cadence's physical synthesis tool (Genus and Innovus).
  • Knowledge in the DFT flow.
