Job Summary:

Cadence Design Systems Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Physical Design Engineer to join our Silicon Engineering team in Brazil. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with experienced engineers and leading-edge customers to implement SoC designs in advanced process nodes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform the place and route flow of complex digital SoC IPs for customer technical needs;
  2. Ensure timing closure through STA analysis;
  3. Verify complex digital SoC IPs using DRC, LVS, IR Drop, and EM checks;
  4. Guarantee that designs meet power, performance, and area requirements;
  5. Collaborate with the Front-end team to validate physical design deliveries;
  6. Provide technical training to new team members.

Requirements:

  1. Complete Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or related areas;
  2. Strong knowledge of digital design and semiconductor fundamentals;
  3. Expertise in place and route flow;
  4. Strong knowledge in timing analysis and fixes;
  5. Strong knowledge in IR Drop/EM analysis and cleanup;
  6. Strong knowledge in DRC/LVS cleanup;
  7. Strong verbal and written skills and collaboration capabilities;
  8. Experience in scripting languages (Python, TCL).

Nice to Have:

  1. Past experience with SoCs tape-outs in advanced nodes;
  2. Low power design and techniques;
  3. Strong knowledge in Cadence's physical design tools (Innovus, Tempus, Voltus, Pegasus);
  4. Experience with Cadence's synthesis tool (Genus).
