We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Physical Design Expert: SoC Implementation to join our team in Brazil. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to cutting-edge projects and drive innovation in the field of physical design.

Job Summary

The Senior Physical Design Expert: SoC Implementation will be responsible for designing and implementing complex System-on-Chip (SoC) architectures using advanced process nodes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing place and route flows for digital SoC IPs to meet customer technical requirements;
  • Performing static timing analysis to ensure timing closure;
  • Verifying physical designs against DRC, LVS, IR Drop, and EM rules;
  • Collaborating with front-end teams to validate initial netlists and constraints, ensuring feasibility and accuracy;
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or related fields;
  • Strong knowledge of digital design and semiconductor fundamentals;
  • Solid understanding of place and route flows, timing analysis, and fixes;
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or TCL;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to collaborate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, experience in low power design techniques, Cadence's physical design tools (Innovus, Tempus, Voltus, Pegasus), and synthesis tool (Genus) would be beneficial.
