**Job Summary**

We are seeking a Senior Community Liaison to support our Product Department in engaging with Wikimedia communities, readers, and teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience processing feedback from diverse audiences, addressing complex problems, and facilitating collaboration between online communities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collecting, summarizing, and escalating feedback from Wikipedia apps' users, identifying key points of contact or divergence with non-users.
  • Building relationships and facilitating effective engagement between Wikimedia communities, readers, and product teams.
  • Communicating plans, goals, and updates from product teams to Wikimedia communities through various channels.
  • Identifying key communities and volunteers to test and provide feedback for product teams.
  • Facilitating feedback sessions and regular two-way communication between product teams and online community members.

**Requirements**

  • Experience working with multilingual and multicultural online communities, passion for online collaboration, and constructive public discussion.
  • Ability to address problems of diverse scope, using good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Demonstrated competence working in diverse teams, partially or totally remote, sometimes at inconvenient times.
  • Experience with ticket management, in-app feedback, bug tracking, and product management tools like Zendesk, Jira, Asana, Phabricator...
  • Bachelor's + 5 years of related experience; OR Master's + 3 years of related experience; OR equivalent work experience.
  • Fluency in 2+ languages.

  • Outstanding organizational and interpersonal communication skills, able to communicate with key stakeholders in styles ranging from precisely detailed to clear and simple.
  • Emotionally mature and self-reliant, tolerating ambiguity and maintaining positive, respectful professional relationships.
  • Organized, efficient, proactive, and able to meet deadlines.
