Drilling Operations Manager
The Drilling Operations Manager plays a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of all well and drilling activities. This position is responsible for assisting the Drilling Section Leader with the management of the drilling department, including budgetary control, equipment maintenance, and emergency preparedness.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and follow up on ongoing well and drilling activities.
- Prepare for upcoming well and drilling activities.
- Manage equipment preparation for future drilling operations.
- Ensure that clear daily operational guidelines are provided to direct reports.
- Provide visible leadership by spending time in the field and monitoring daily operations.
- Submit timely and accurate daily drilling reports.
- Maintain required sheets and tally's as per requirements.
- Conduct thorough handovers at each daily change of shift.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Relevant governing documents are adhered to by direct reports.
- Subordinates are trained to fill higher positions.
- Assist with maintaining a sufficient stock of equipment spare parts and materials.
- Operational preparedness of all safety and emergency equipment.
- Drilling equipment certification at all times is valid and available onboard.
- Contribute to OBS card reporting.
