Job Description

The role of an Advocacy Director is pivotal in driving policy change throughout the bureau.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing policy change and developing strategies to increase access to treatment, rapid testing, and condoms in targeted countries.
  • This position offers a unique opportunity to give back to communities affected by HIV/AIDS, with a focus on the Latin America and Caribbean region.

A key aspect of this role is leading high-level advocacy on HIV prevention, testing, OI/ART, and health policy issues, as well as conducting research and writing policy briefs and briefings.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Fluent English and Spanish language skills are essential for this role.
  • Strong strategic planning and scenario analysis skills, along with proficiency in communication technologies and social mobilization tools.
  • Experience lobbying policymakers and decision-makers, with a strong track record of leadership, creativity, and analytical skills.
