Project Director

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to oversee a portfolio of clinical studies and large global multicenter trials. The successful candidate will manage project managers handling projects of varying sizes and complexities, contribute to proposal development and business activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a portfolio of projects and the project managers executing them
  • Ensure studies meet therapeutic and client requirements
  • Represent the company to clients, maintaining satisfaction and effective communication
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, SOPs, GCPs, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage project budgets and expenses
  • Track project progress using timelines and analysis tools
  • Maintain therapeutic and client-specific expertise
  • Lead contingency planning and risk mitigation
  • Contribute to proposal development and operational strategies
  • Drive performance improvements and operational efficiencies
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; Master's preferred
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus
  • Minimum 15 years industry experience, with at least 5 years at a CRO
  • At least 10 years of clinical project management experience, including managing multi-region, multi-phase studies
  • Experience leading multinational phase III trials and managing project budgets
  • Experience mentoring project managers and business development
  • Line management experience is desirable
