About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Petrophysicist Subsurface Specialist to join our team in Exploration & Production International. As a key member of our Brazil subsurface team, you will be responsible for delivering state-of-the-art well log interpretations and petrophysical models, utilizing a range of relevant data available.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement petrophysical models to characterize reservoirs and optimize well placement.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to establish reservoir modeling strategies and ensure that reservoir models capture essential reservoir quality heterogeneities and trends.
- Contribute to well planning and data acquisition programs, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Perform quality control of acquired information and integrate conventional and special core analysis in the petrophysical model.
- Establish interfaces with stakeholders, including service providers and partners.
- Act as a core member of the pre-salt petrophysics team in Equinor Brazil, responsible for ensuring transfer of know-how and experience between relevant business units.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the O&G industry, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality petrophysical models.
- Advanced written and spoken English and Portuguese language skills.
- Deep experience with petrophysical analysis and characterization of clastic and/or carbonates reservoirs, with pre-salt experience preferred.
- Proficiency with petrophysical applications such as Geolog.
- Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.
