UI Systems Designer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled UI Systems Designer to join our team. As a UI Systems Designer, you will play a crucial role in implementing UI systems in Unreal Engine, building rapid prototypes, layouts, visual scripting, and leveling up our workflows.

About the Role
  • You will work closely with UX Designers, UI Artists, and UI Engineers to ship features to millions of users worldwide.
  • You will design and implement UI systems that meet the needs of our users, ensuring best practices are followed by colleagues.
Your Responsibilities
  • Break down feature/wireframes into necessary widgets, structures, and classes.
  • Ensure assets/UI are within memory and CPU constraints, learning to profile performance and costs.
  • Implement blueprint logic when presentation logic calls for it, assist UI Artists where necessary, and consult with UI engineers on the logic that will be in the blueprint vs native code.
  • Debug blueprints/UMG issues quickly using various tools and techniques.
Requirements
  • 3-6+ years of experience in building UI and experiences in game engines and across multiple platforms or similar transferable experience.
  • 2+ years of experience shipping updates and new features to a user base on a regular cadence or similar transferable experience.
  • Professional experience using game engines (Custom engine, Unity, UE4, Lumberyard, Snowdrop, etc.), preparing game assets for them, and having an eye for pixel-perfect UI.
  • You are a logical problem solver and have attention to detail.
  • You can 'translate' communication across departments and have empathy for non-technical team members.
