Senior Financial Analyst Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our South America regional finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst. This role requires independent judgment and decision-making on significant accounting matters, as well as experience working for a multinational company operating under USGAAP and IFRS guidance.

This position will have a direct impact on our organization by proposing new initiatives and delivering solutions, driving cross-functional efforts, and recommending opportunities for process improvements to leadership. The ideal candidate should demonstrate experience in managing processes and procedures relevant to their work area, with the ability to exercise sufficient decision-making to identify and propose solutions to leadership.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements;
  • Performing detailed variance analysis of financial results versus budget, forecast, and prior periods;
  • Leading month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations;
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities in collaboration with the FP&A team;
  • Developing and maintaining financial models and dashboards for tracking key performance indicators (KPIs);
  • Assisting in internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit inquiries;
  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements;
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance internal controls;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Operations, Legal, IT, HR) on business initiatives and projects;
  • Mentoring junior analysts and support staff, providing training and development guidance.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related areas;
  • Advanced or Fluent English;
  • Accounting knowledge and experience;
  • Knowledge in SAP;
  • Solid knowledge in Excel;
  • Prior experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), desktop automation, Knime, Python, or Power Platform is a plus;
  • An MBA or Postgraduate studies in Systems Analysis, Information Technology, Data Analytics is desired.
