Energy Expert Consultant

Deliver actionable insights and drive business results as an Energy Expert Consultant. Join a dynamic team in the heart of the energy sector, shaping our position as a leading advisor and thought leader.

As an expert in the energy field, you will provide in-depth knowledge and expertise, working closely with case teams to deliver high-impact insights and solutions. You will help structure and solve complex challenges, acting as a trusted partner to clients and stakeholders.

  • Staff cases and work on client sites or at our office, providing analysis to drive insight into specific client issues.
  • Manage industry analysis requests and assist consultants with industry-specific problems.
  • Interact with local teams, gathering and filtering information resources to synthesize and package insights for the energy practice area.
  • Work on content pieces with a special focus on Brazil market-specific expertise, including industry trends, local and regional competitive landscapes.
  • Support the energy practice area in Brazil with content development/synthesis for external engagements.
Requirements
  • A strong background in industrial or another engineering field; other advanced degrees are accepted, such as economics or physics.
  • Or a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1+ year of relevant consulting experience or 2+ years of relevant industry work experience in energy.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English required; other languages, particularly Spanish, is a plus.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Excel with deep experience in using large models.
  • Deep knowledge of key energy sector databases in Brazil, including auction data, plant technical specs, load, generation, supply, demand figures.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools and experience with Python and tools like GitHub Copilot for research, task automation, data processing, integration with AI APIs is a plus.
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to multi-task & operate effectively in a matrix organization in a fast-paced environment.
