Leadership Opportunity in Game Engineering

We are seeking a seasoned engineering leader to drive the technical strategy and execution for a key internal project.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing multiple engineering teams, ensuring adequate staffing levels across various specializations, providing critical technical guidance, and supporting project planning from an engineering perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Align disparate stakeholders, clarifying complex technical issues and translating production and marketing needs for developers.
  • Communicate challenges, risks, and trade-offs effectively.
  • Evaluate feature request requirements for clarity, consistency, and achievability.
  • Mentor engineering leads and individual contributors.
  • Cross-discipline communication with Design, Art, UI, and Production to understand goals and feature requirements.

Requirements:

  • A technical leader who excels at giving feedback and facilitating team success.
  • Experience shipping AAA titles across multiple platforms.
  • Familiarity with large-scale, live, online multiplayer game development, focusing on advanced networking, real-time physics, and dynamic interoperating services.
  • Advanced C++ skills and experience with scripting languages, low-level debugging, and optimization.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Collaboration and relationship management with internal teams and external partners.
  • Deep expertise in product lifecycle management for games, including generating technical requirements, assembling capable teams, executing said requirements, and building robust support systems.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 5.
  • Solution architecture and building in multiple areas of expertise – Gameplay, Graphics, Audio, UI, Networking, and Physics.
  • Prioritizing personal development and continuous improvement.
