Senior Security Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Senior Security Specialist to join our organization, responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving security practices, techniques, tools, systems, and policies. This role will contribute to the security of our infrastructure, products, and the wider open source ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Computer Science or a related field, with expertise in threat modelling, risk management frameworks, security architecture, and market-leading security tools. Experience in threat intelligence feeds, security risk management frameworks such as NIST CSF, and security standards like ISO 27001 is also highly valued.

This is a senior-level position that requires a deep understanding of security threats and the ability to design and implement technical security controls to ensure security threats are automatically identified, contained, and remediated.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and enhance organizational security standards and playbooks
  • Analyze and improve security architecture
  • Evaluate, select, and implement new security tools and best practices
  • Identify, contain, and guide remediation of security threats and cyber attacks
  • Promote and expand thought leadership in security operations
  • Contribute to open source threat intelligence initiatives
  • Drive threat modelling, table top exercises, and other security best practices across Engineering, IS, and organization
  • Develop security learning and development materials
  • Author blog posts, whitepapers, and conference presentations
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Collaborate with security leadership to present information and influence strategic decisions
