We are seeking an experienced Country Risk Specialist to join our team in São Paulo, Brazil. As a Country Risk Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the country Chief Risk Officer (CRO) in providing second-line risk management advice and oversight to the entity and other countries in the region.

You will be responsible for daily monitoring of KRIs related to financial risks, including capital, market, and liquidity risk. Additionally, you will build financial risk indicators, reports, and policies, develop automated processes for risk monitoring and reporting, and prepare prudential and regulatory reports for countries in the LatAm region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build financial risk indicators, reports, and policies to support business decision-making.
  • Develop automated processes for risk monitoring and reporting.
  • Prepare prudential and regulatory reports for countries in the LatAm region.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Background and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in FinTechs and Financial Institutions, with a focus on risk management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (macro and VBA).
  • Knowledge of Python and SQL.
  • Experience working with financial risk requirements in Basel III/IV.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Fluent in English and Spanish, with strong communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with the ability to understand new analytical concepts.
  • Ability to analyze data, extract patterns and trends, and identify emerging risk exposures.
  • Ability to create reports, summaries, presentations, and process documents to display results.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at the same time to complete work.
