This urgent care program is designed to provide aspiring healthcare professionals with hands-on experience and mentorship in a dynamic setting.
Key Features- Duration: A month or semester long, offering participants a comprehensive understanding of urgent care operations.
- Mentorship: Participants will work closely with experienced healthcare professionals who will serve as mentors, providing guidance and support throughout the program.
- Clinical Exposure: Gain exposure to a wide range of patient cases, enhancing clinical skills and promoting critical thinking in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Engage with a collaborative healthcare team, including physicians, family nurse practitioners/physician assistants, medical assistants, and support staff.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited physician assistant program.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for success in this role.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Urgent Care Experience: Desire to work in urgent care preferred but not required.
- Affiliation Agreement: An active affiliation agreement is required prior to starting your preceptorship.
- Application Submission: Submit a comprehensive resume and answer the application questions.
- Phone Screening: Qualified candidates will be contacted to set up a brief phone screening.
- Clinic Interview: Candidates will schedule a 45-minute interview with our Clinic Management team.
- Placement Information: Following the interview, candidates will be contacted with their placement information and begin the onboarding process.
