At Marken Ltd., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our team. Main Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Manage a team of Business Development Managers and ensure they meet or exceed goals for assigned accounts, territory, or area.
- Growth and Development: Focus on growing existing business and new customer sales by working to meet business goals set by management.
- Customer Service: Build upon and maintain Marken's existing customer base through strong customer service, frequent client interaction, and technical expertise.
- Project Management: Lead and provide business support to client-specific teams of Project Managers and Project Coordinators to ensure end-to-end customer satisfaction and accuracy of all jobs pertaining to clients' accounts assigned.
- Innovation and Solutions: Lead, develop, and provide innovative services and technical solutions to clients.
- Quote Management: Manage quote requests and client special requests.
- Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and communicate client pipelines to senior management, providing timely reports on activities, expenses, operations, and forecast data for assessment of progress on meeting objectives.
- Market Research: Conduct market research/trend analysis reporting for all assigned and prospective accounts.
- Market Intelligence: Share market information (trends, competitor information, etc.) with Marketing and Senior Management.
- Audit and Compliance: Assist in managing audits & site visits and addressing complaints with QA / CAPA.
- Industry Events: Attend trade shows/exhibitions, workshops, and seminars.
- Client Engagement: Arrange client visits, dinners, outings, and quarterly meetings.
- Contract Management: Demonstrate and manage client contracts, CDA's, MSA's, and Technical Agreements.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: 3 - 5+ years sales or marketing experience within the Logistics, Clinical Supply, and/or Pharmaceutical Industry
- Leadership Experience: Line Management experience in leading and developing a successful Business Development team
- Business Acumen: High Level of business acumen in both administration and business strategies
- Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to network, prospect, persuade, and develop rapport leading to successful deal closure
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communications skills surrounding clients
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills
- Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and exercises good judgment and appropriate discretion when reaching conclusions
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management Systems (Salesforce) and Proficiencies with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
