Job Overview

As a patient support specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to ensure seamless care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation and authorization for patient equipment and services.
  • Communicate with patients to educate them on the use of their medical equipment and provide ongoing support.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, including communication logs and equipment history.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve patient issues and improve overall care delivery.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of current medical equipment and services offered by the company, as well as applicable insurance guidelines.

Requirements

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of work-related experience in healthcare administrative, financial, or insurance customer service roles.
  • Senior-level candidates require two years of work-related experience and one year of exact job experience.
  • Exact job experience refers to any tasks in a Medicare-certified HME environment that routinely bills insurance.
