Job Title: Local Product Group Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Local Product Group Manager to join our team at ABB. As a key member of our Electrification business, you will be responsible for managing the ABB Electrification Grid Components portfolio (medium voltage circuit breakers) throughout its whole life cycle, with a focus on profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead continuous business analysis of the existing portfolio and potential new portfolio items, including analysis of alternative investments and reviewing potential partnering options.
  • Translate global product management and local business strategy into the local offering portfolio strategy through market and customer segmentation, and continuously analyze the content of the local unit portfolio with a focus on new potential offerings.
  • Contribute to the definition of new offering line or product portfolio strategies, providing inputs to Global Product Managers.
  • Analyze and track market, technology, competitor, and customer requirements related to the offering business and determine competitive attributes, prioritization, and value proposition.
  • Identify needs, opportunities, risks, and positioning against competition and feed information to the global team as input to decision-making.
  • Direct the creation of the local offering business plan, ensuring fit with global strategy.
  • Define the business model and approve the pricing model.
  • Make decisions and approve prioritization on local offering portfolio development activities.
  • Manage challenging customer escalations and non-conformities.
  • Contribute to local business offering certification and factory approval.
  • Lead the local Product Management team to meet the P&L target of the local unit.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably Engineering, Business Administration, or Technology).
  • Marketing skills with experience in product portfolio management.
  • Experience with Grid Components portfolio is a plus.
  • Fluent English and advanced Spanish (desirable).
  • Availability to travel in the South American region.
